Communities for You

Affinity groups help connect team members across the world of Duke Health by unifying around a shared identity and purpose.


A community of young professionals that works to inspire, engage, and develop a sense of belonging across Duke by helping young professionals (and the young at heart) form genuine connections, develop their careers, and build meaningful relationships.

Duke Military Association

Brings the internal community of active duty, veterans and family supporters together for networking, educational opportunities, and community outreach.

Duke Health LGBTQ Alliance

Open to all lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual team members and the colleagues that support them for professional networking, social events, and community service.


Inspiration for women leaders at Duke to grow and thrive by creating connections, empowering them to bring their whole selves to work, and supporting each other in development across Duke.

Administrative Professionals

Intended for administrative professionals across Duke Health, the group focuses on networking, support, and professional development.

Asian American and Pacific Islander

Envisions to affirm Asian American and Pacific Islander identities and create a safe place for discussion to cultivate community, educate, and inspire others.

Duke Moms

Strives to provide an inclusive, safe environment for team members who identify as a mother or mother-to-be (biological and otherwise) and create a culture of support and advocacy.


The group creates connection and promotes resources and opportunities for mentorship, sponsorship and career development; and raising awareness of the social, economic, and wellness gaps experienced by the Black community.


Juntos provides a safe space for Hispanic/Latinx team members to feel seen, heard, and valued. In addition to creating a space for connection, the group focuses on promoting opportunities for mentorship, sponsorship, and career development as it raises awareness of the social, economic, and health disparities experienced by the Hispanic/Latinx community.

Disability Inclusion & Community Empowerment

Disability Inclusion & Community Empowerment Affinity Group provides a safe space for disabled team members and self-advocates as well as non-disabled advocates, allies, and caregivers. The group focuses on helping members of the disabled community more easily find, communicate, meet and mentor each other to build a sense of belonging and community, as well as advocate for increased accessibility within the workplace.
