Incentives and benefits designed for you
Commitment bonuses: Full-time respiratory care positions are eligible for up to a $15,000 commitment bonus. Full-time respiratory care roles specializing in adult and pediatrics at Duke University Hospital are also eligible for another $5,000 bonus beyond what's above.
Referral bonuses: Team members can earn monetary rewards of up to $1,000 and other prizes for referring prospective team members to Duke Health.
Relocation assistance: Up to $8,000 in relocation assistance is available to assist respiratory care practitioners with moving costs, if living 50 or more miles away from their designated Duke University Health System facility. Team members using the program also get access to a dedicated relocation website that let's them research the area attractions, services, and neighborhoods.
Tuition assistance: Team members can receive tuition assistance of up to $5,250 per calendar year after six months of full-time employment.
Loan Forgiveness: Duke is a non-profit organization, which may allow you to benefit from a Loan Forgiveness Program such as the NC State Education Assistance Authority (NCSEAA) or the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Career ladder: This program helps respiratory care practitioners continue to advance their careers through promotion.
Back-up Care Service: 10 annual days of back-up care at discounted rates using Bright Horizons' network of caregivers who provide temporary care when team members have a disruption in their regular care. Team members can use these 10 days either in-home for both child and adults for $6 per hour, or at a Bright Horizons center at $15 per child per day or $25 per family.
Childcare Partnership: Duke Health offers priority placement for the young children of team members at 50+ partnership centers. Of those childcare centers, 30+ offer montly discounts and/or waived registration fees.
In addition to these incentives and benefits, Duke Health invests in all full-time team members with comprehensive benefits through our Total Rewards Program.
