Duke Anesthesiology seeks Medical Director of Perioperative Anesthesia and Surgical Screening Clinic (PASS Clinic)
The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full-time medical director for its Perioperative Anesthesia and Surgical Screening Clinic (PASS Clinic). The PASS Clinic provides focused attention to patient perioperative medical and social needs, facilitate care coordination, enhance patient safety through proactive management and preventive health of at-risk patient populations, increase alignment with best clinical practices, and provide an important area for outcomes investigation.
Ideal candidates will be Board-Certified in Anesthesiology and have experience or fellowship training in perioperative medicine. Position involves approximately 50% clinical effort in providing direct anesthetic care in the operating areas with the remaining 50% effort as medical director of the PASS clinic. Strong clinical/medical background with organizational, management, and communication skills are essential. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary care team.
Salary and faculty title will be commensurate with training and experience.
