PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. The Mission of the PRMO is delivering quality service by enhancing the patient experience, providing financial security, and preserving Duke’s reputation and mission of advancing health together. Coordinate andparticipate in a variety of du ties associated with daily clinic preparationprocess, patient identifica tion, patient check in/out, cash management andpatient appointment sched uling. Position also involves customer service,message distribution and referrals management.

Wo rk Performed

·        Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patient s andcompleting next day preparation activities.

·Check-in patient upon arriv al in the practice.

·        Identify correct patient information in Maestro Care. Ve rify/updatepatient demographic and insurance data as needed.  Edit Maest ro Care as needed.

·        Accurately identify the appropriate account for patient vi sit.

·Present and educate patients on required forms and obtainsignature incl uding distribution of PROMIS ipads as required by policy andprocedure. < /span>

·Compl etes all Maestro Care required on-line questionnaires andmanage all appr opriate alerts.

·< /span>Obtain imprest cash bag from cash manager at beginning ofshi ft.  Secure cash and patient paymentinformation appropriately at all tim es during clinic hours. 

·Return imprest cash bag at end of shift to cash man ager. 

·Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.

·Label all pati ent specific chart documents andrequisition/transmittal documents for sc anning.

·Explain billing to patients according to PRMO credit andcollection p olicies.

·< span>Determine the amount of cash to be collected based on insuranceplan .

·Ch eck-out appointments.

·        Make return appointments by scheduling patients into t he correctappointment type, entering accurate primary care physician or referringphysician information in Maestro Care.

< p>·Review and attach referrals t o scheduled appointments asappropriate.

·Answer telephone, take and deliver me ssages to providers.

·        Report obtained medical information from patients and r eferringphysicians accurately, completely and timely. Disseminate messag es according topractice communication standards.

·Review and resolve re gistration and referral workqueue editsdaily.

Minimum Qualifications
