MANAGER, PATIENT REVENUE
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Provide daily management and coordination of the Admitting, Registration, Financial Counseling, Cash Management, and assist with Patient Transfer functions for Duke Raleigh Hospital. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local service access requirements. Coordinate the adaptation of Federal, State, or local policy mandates. Maintain liaison with PRMO and/or Hospital department managers to ensure compliance with service access documentation requirements. Develop, recommend & maintain changes to operating policies and procedures for Service Access. Maintain daily reconciliation and reporting model to track operations. Monitor the unit's productivity and recommend improvements to related systems to enhance the unit's productivity. Prepare daily reports and analyses, with appropriate recommendations to address adverse results or trends. Maintain scheduling and work assignments to ensure proper distribution of workload.
Maintain a customer service focus within the Hospital Service Access function. Proactively monitor, analyze, and manage reports and all related work queues that are current. Ensure the division is integrated with other departmental areas. Develop operational policies, procedures standards, and expectations, providing clear opportunities to meet or exceed the entity-balanced scorecard objectives. Participate in community events. Foster a collaborative environment within the Service Access function. Assist in the development of the budget and operating plan for Hospital Service Access. Responsible for the oversight of all functions within the department, including but not limited to the oversight of serving as a member of the Service Access Managers and team subscribe to the vision, values, and expectations of the Duke University Health System.
Promote and emulate a patient-centric and customer service focus within all locations under Hospital Service Access at the Duke Raleigh campus. Develop the division operating budget and goals. Responsible for the financial, service, and productivity performance of the division. Ensure the division is integrated with other departmental policies and procedures. Develop the division's operational policies, procedures standards, and expectations, providing clear opportunities to meet or exceed KPIs or BSC metrics. Conduct performance reviews of direct reports; develop and mentor entity balanced scorecard direct reports and staff.
Bachelor's degree required. Masters's degree is preferred.
Work requires 5 years of experience in business or other applicable experience. A master's degree in a related field, such as business or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.

Certifications in patient access or patient accounting preferred.
