PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. Occ Summary Work PerformedKnowledge, Skills a ndAbilitiesPerform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.Level Characteristics patients.including, but not limited to,DU KEACCOUNTING SYSTEMDUKE PAYROLL SYSTEMCoordinate and participate in clin ic service activities to achievecontinuous and optimal patient care.Coor dinate and participate in department/clinic service activities toinclude greeting, interviewing,registering, admitting anddischargingCoordinate d iagnostic and treatment activities of the department/clinicwith services of otherdepartments to ensure effectivepatient care and efficient servic e.Supervise and participate in determining sponsorship eligibility,makin g financial arrangements, andestablishing fees.Maintain liaison with pro fessional medical staff and other personnel inadministering policies and procedures regardingpatient flow and utilization of space, time, supplie s and equipment.Provide recommendations to theHealth CenterAdministrator /department head on policies and procedures to improvepatient care andut ilization ofclinic resources.Review patient charges to ensure accuracyan d answer questionsconcerning billing procedures andcharges.Plan and sche dule work for the clerical staff ensuring properdistribution of assignme nts and adequatemanning, space andfacilities for subsequent performance of duties. Minimum Qualifications


Education

High school diploma required.


Experience

Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. An Associate's degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
