General Description of the Job Class

The Program Manager of Quality for the Behavioral Health Service Line is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and program quality within behavioral health services. This role involves providing direction for quality and safety initiatives, special projects and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with faculty members and staff to determine quality, safety and regulatory objectives of various behavioral health programs.
  • Identify internal and external resources available to meet objectives of quality program.
  • Establish quality performance metrics and ensure that owning teams drive issues to true root cause solutions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on program quality assurance measures.
  • Prepare reports on program progress and areas for improvement.
  1. Process Improvement
  • Develop and implement processes to maintain consistent quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for enhancement and work with teams to implement improvements.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance against quality standards.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
  • Act as a liaison with multi-disciplinary team to include Physicians, Psychologist,  Advanced Practice Providers, Behavioral Health Case Management, Nursing to meet quality and safety metrics and collaborate on initiatives..
  • Represent the Behavioral Health Service Line in inter-agency meetings and conferences.
  1. Project Oversight:
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are met in line with quality program.
  • Implement and manage changes and interventions to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain liaison with outside educational and professional organizations and agencies to explore implementation of specialized programs at Duke and to encourage participation in specified programs

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education

Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience

Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.
