JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Service Access Team Leader (SATL) to coordinate and participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification (demographic and insurance verification), patient check-in and check-out, cash management, and patient appointment scheduling. Position also involves management of clinic work queues, referral management, message distribution, and customer service. Position involves on-site leading and coordinating of front-end personnel.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise clerical staff and coordinate resources to ensure clerical processes in place provide effective patient care and efficient service.
- Plan and schedule work for the clerical staff ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
- Provide recommendations to the Health Center Administrator on policies and procedures to improve patient care and utilization of clinic resources.
- Responsible for or provide recommendations on various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions and vacation schedules.
- Review patient charges and clinic work queues to ensure accuracy and answer questions concerning billing procedures and charges.
- Train new clerical personnel.
- Referral Management and Procedure Pre-Authorizations.
- Primary cash manager for the clinic.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma required.
Four years of experience in a healthcare setting is required. An Associate's degree in healthcare or business may substitute for two years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare may substitute for four years of experience.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
